In 2026, I spent a year on a working holiday in Europe. It was a journey of immersing myself in diverse cultures and histories, while connecting and engaging with people from different countries and backgrounds. Yet,upon returning to Taiwan, I noticed a collective indifference toward the wider world. It brought a sense of regret, and frankly, a sudden fear—because just a year prior, I too was living comfortably inside that same warm, shielded bubble, where daily worries rarely extended beyond the mundane trivialities of workplace and domestic life.
This realization sparked a deep longing to create a small corner of our own. A place where we explore the world, try to make sense of global trends, and challenge our limited perspectives through different viewpoints and stances.
I hope you find a sense of belonging in this little community. We don’t need to know who each other is; we are simply individuals scattered across different corners of the globe. Met by shared ideals, engaged through contrasting perspectives, and gathered by the same boundless curiosity.
